We are thrilled to announce that Sabbia artists Greg Daly and Dr Julie Bartholomew are two of the six finalists in the prestigious 2019 Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award at Shepparton Art Museum SAM.

The other finalists are Stephen Bird, Lynda Draper, Juz Kitson and Isadora Vaughan.

Each of the six finalists receive funds towards the production of a body of work for exhibition. The winner will be awarded a $50,000 acquisitive cash prize and their work entered into the SAM collection.

This award celebrates and promotes contemporary Australian artists working in the ceramic medium. Previous winners include Deborah Halpern, Gwyn Hanssen-Piggott, Stephen Benwell, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran and Jenny Orchard.

The exhibition opening and prize announcement is on the 21st June 2019. The exhibition runs until 1st September.
