Gerry King will be included in the upcoming Qingdao International Glass Art Exhibition at the Qingdao Art Museum from August 2nd – September 4th with his piece ‘Zephyr, 2011’, kiln cast glass, 285 h x 400 w x 80mm d, courtesy of a private collection, China
This exhibition named Condensing Light & Overflowing Color – 2022 Qingdao International Glass Medium Art Exhibition will displaying over 120 pieces (sets) of modern glass works from renowned artists and emerging young artists. The works encompass almost all crafting techniques of modern glass art. Among them are museum-level classics and vibrant new explorations based on glass as a material. This international exhibition will fully demonstrate to the public the charm of modern glass art.
Gerry has also recently had a major solo exhibition at the Wagga Wagga Regional Gallery – ‘Towards the Finishing Line: works from the last decade’ featuring works from the national glass collection.
