Congratulations also to Sabbia artist Jenni Kemarre Martiniello on being announced as a finalist and winner of the Remagine Art Prize 2023. This prize challenges artists to respond to a theme around sustainability – this year being ‘Wasteland or Wonderland’. With 72 finalists across a broad range of materials, this is a great achievement to be awarded the winner of this esteemed prize.
Jenni’s work Not wasted was created with recycled television screen glass and recycled brass wire with redeemed chipboard and poly-carbonate sheet for the plinth. The only component not rescued from the landfill is the LED spotlight mounted in the plinth to light the glass.
