Alfred Lowe featured at IOTA2024 – Fremantle Arts Centre – Western Australia

From 17 August to 27 October 2024 Alfred Lowe will be exhibiting a new series of works  – as part of the Indian Ocean Craft Triennial (IOTA) 2024. For this 2nd iteration of the Triennial – ‘Codes in Parallel’ – Alfred has created an 11-piece collection entitled Idolisation 2024. In the accompanying text, Alfred describes this series of Idols being inspired by: ‘ (my family and most) influential artistic colleagues who work with a sense of self, and a technique so imbued with confidence; laying down mark after mark with conviction and a self assured flow…. It becomes a young artists’ goal not just to imitate the skill of their idols but also to imitate their fearlessness’. IOTA 2024 can be seen across six venues in Western Australian until 27 October 2024
