‘After the Rain’ featuring the Hermannsburg Potters

‘After the Rain’ the 5th National Indigenous Art Triennial featuring the Hermannsburg Potters

We were delighted to attend the opening weekend of ‘After the Rain’ the 5th National Indigenous Art Triennial @nationalgalleryaus and curated by @tonyalbert

We couldn’t be more proud of the amazing Hermannsburg artists presenting alongside @manyhandsart & #VincentNamatjira with the House of Namatjira. Making the trip from Ntaria were Judith Pungkarta Inkamala, Beth Mbitjana Inkamala, Rona Panangka Rubuntja & Hayley Panangka Coulthard.

‘The project brings together members of the Namatjira family and community, including the renowned Hermannsburg Potters, Iltja Ntjarra Art Centre and the artist’s great-grandson, Vincent Namatjira’. @tonyalbert

Also launching over the weekend was ‘Our Choir Has Always Been Travelling’, a short animation made in collaboration with @tangentyereartists and @studio.peeki based on the artwork and life stories of Judith Pungarta Inkamala, Marjorie ‘Nunga’ Williams, Anita Mbitjana Ratara, Kunmanara Donald, Betty Conway and Lizzie Topsy Jacko.
