Kirstie has just been announced as one of 30 finalists in this year’s Loewe Craft Prize. This prestigious international award recognises works that demonstrates artistic intent as well as technical proficiency with the material and is innovative in the sense that it updates tradition. With over 5000 entries in 2026, this is amazing achievement, congratulations Kirstie! This important series of works were launched at Melbourne Art Fair, as part of ‘Remembered Landscapes’ alongside with Pippin Drysdale in 2025. Kirstie says of the artwork selected for the Loewe Craft Prize, ‘The resulting work holds a shallow, open profile, balancing firmness and fragility while emphasising the material’s capacity for controlled movement and structural softness that translates the delicacy of the natural landscape into tangible forms’.
