Wendy Fairclough and Honor Freeman – Echo

Past Exhibition 25 Jul - 18 Aug 2012

Sabbia Gallery in Sydney is pleased to present Echo, a joint exhibition by South Australian artists Wendy Fairclough and Honor Freeman. This is a show by two of Australia’s most innovative contemporary makers which has been three years in the planning.

Fairclough and Freeman have been friends since meeting as students at the South Australian School of Art in the nineties. This exhibition has eventutated as a result of many years of friendship and critical analysis of each others practice.

Both artists have a fascination for the still life genre in their chosen mediums of glass and ceramics. Their work is understated yet very powerful, and has found its way into some of the premier collections around the world over the last ten years.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to view such compositions and still life based artwork in this way. The audience will be given an insight into the diversity of contemporary studio glass and ceramics in Australia by two of our most exciting makers.

Echo will be a highlight for the year.
