23 Jun - 17 Jul 2027

Sabbia is pleased to present this highly anticipated solo exhibition by Ntaria artist, Rona Panangka Rubuntja. Working in the Northern Territory out of Hermannsburg Potters, Rona activates her ceramic works with rich narratives of contemporary life in Ntaria. Her work often includes depictions of cattle roaming country, driving out to the outstation and collecting bush tucker. Rona’s distinctive painterly brushwork and the imaginative storytelling have been highly acclaimed, with Rona being invited to the Indian Ceramics Triennale in 2024. The year prior Rona was a finalist in the King & Wood Mallesons First Nations Art Award. Rona’s work has been widely exhibited across Australia and internationally, India, Europe and the USA.
