An enormous honour and a huge congratulations to Sabbia artist Mel Douglas, who has been named as one of the thirty finalists shortlisted in the prestigious Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2022.
Mel is only the third Australian to be selected in this important international award since its inaugural 2016 year, and this international prize had over 3000 submissions for 2022.
A 13 person jury, composed of leading figures from the worlds of design, architecture, journalism, criticism and museum curatorship, will select the Loewe Craft Prize winner on June 30 at the opening of the 2022 Craft Prize exhibit in Seoul. Through this foundation, Loewe reaffirms its commitment to creativity, culture, and craftsmanship.
The Craft Prize 2022 recognises the shortlisted artists as having made fundamentally important contributions to the development of contemporary craft. For further information please go to https://craftprize.loewe.com
