Sabbia Gallery would like to congratulate Lisa Cahill, Pepai Jangala Carroll and Kirstie Rea for being shortlisted as finalists for The King’s School Art Prize 2020.

The King’s School Art Prize is a $20,000 acquisitive award presented to the artists judged to create the best contemporary artwork exploring the theme The Australian Landscape.  The King’s School Art Prize aims to support both artists and their gallery, and to build an important collection as an educational resource for its students, the school community and the general public.

Over the last 25 years, The King’s School Art Prize has proudly included such artists as: Bec Juniper, Aida Tomescu, Lyndal Brown and Charles Green, John Olsen, Jason Benjamin, Jacquie Stockdale, Peter Churcher, Joanna Logue, Nicholas Harding, Martine Emdur, Ashley Frost, Rodney Pople, Ben Quilty, Nicholas Blowers, Geoffrey de Groen, Gloria Petyarre, Ross Laurie, Euan Macleod, Geoff Dyer, Jun Chen, Guy Maestre, David Frank, Peter Godwin and the 2019 winner Mclean Edwards.

We wish the Lisa, Pepai and Kirstie the best of luck as the award will be announced on 11 September 2020.
