My practice in both painted and sculptural glass explores the ever-changing relationship between nature and the built environment. Rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world, my work investigates the subtle shifts within the landscape, those shaped by organic transformation as well as human intervention. This body of work captures light as it moves across landforms, drawing attention to the quiet patterns and textures that emerge through decay, erosion, and renewal. Through delicate folds and surface variations, I seek to echo the ephemeral qualities of light in nature, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the beauty found in impermanence.
My installations are not literal representations but meditations, abstracted landscapes that offer a contemplative space where light, memory, and emotion intersect. Growing up in Australia and shaped by my Danish heritage, I carry a dual perspective that is embedded in my connection to place. Years spent living and travelling abroad, particularly in France and Denmark, have deepened my sensitivity to landscape and the quiet resonance of natural forms. These experiences continue to inform my work, bridging cultures and geographies through glass. At its core, my work is an exploration of fragility and resilience, of land, of light, and of our human connection to the spaces we inhabit.
