Geometry – Masters of Glass

Past Exhibition 19 Jan - 12 Feb 2011

Sabbia Gallery continues its greatly anticipated annual glass masters series with its 2011 exhibition being one of the most significant to date.

Geometry includes twenty five of Australia and New Zealand’s finest artists presenting one major work in response to the theme of geometry.

Each invited artist has been asked to create an artwork which can be as literal or oblique as they decide. The result is an exceptional collection of sculptural, installation and wall mounted artworks.

Geometry, Sabbia Gallery’s first exhibition for 2011 presents a fresh approach to contemporary glass. It provides a fantastic opportunity for newcomers to the Australian and New Zealand glass movement to explore the most dynamic internationally renowned artists that this region has to offer. All artists who have been invited to exhibit are included in prominent public and private collections both here and overseas, and this exhibition once again promises to include key collectible pieces.
