SABBIA is delighted to share the announcement of this year’s Fuse Glass Prize finalists—one of Australasia’s most prestigious awards recognising innovation and excellence in contemporary glass. Established in 2016, the prize is presented by JamFactory and has rapidly become the region’s leading platform for celebrating outstanding glass artists from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a biennial, non acquisitive prize featuring both an Established Artist and an Emerging Artist category.
We are extraordinarily proud that nine of the twelve Established Artist finalists this year are SABBIA artists—an exceptional achievement that speaks to the depth of talent within our gallery community. Warm congratulations to:
Congratulations to all the Established Artist Finalists, Gabriella Bisetto, Dominic Burrell and Nicholas Folland, and from SABBIA Annette Blair, Christine Cathie, Mel Douglas, Holly Grace, Jessica Loughlin, Nick Mount, Kirstie Rea, Tom Rowney and Janice Vitkovsky.
The winner of the Established Artist category will receive a $20,000 non acquisitive cash prize. The David Henshall Emerging Artist Prize includes $5,000 cash plus a $5,000 professional development opportunity at JamFactory. The works of all finalists will be presented in a major exhibition opening at JamFactory, Adelaide, before touring nationally. The winners will be announced on 25 June 2026.
